Mary Kate – Artistic Expression, Enneagram, & Misc. Ramblings

Mary Kate is a musician and song writer.  I appreciate how Mary Kate is using her talent.  She performs with an attractive confidence and joy.  We talk about artistic expression, what Mary Kate has been working on lately based on the Enneagram, and then we ramble on a bit.  I think I probably talked too much, but I appreciate the conversation and I appreciate Mary Kate’s responses to the questions I brought up.  Mary Kates song, “What You Say” plays at the end of the conversation.

Bill and Sherie – From Law to Grace

I talked with friends, Bill and Sherie Eagleburger, about growing up, meeting each other, and their experience of going from a law focused version of Christianity to a grace centered version of Christianity.  The grace centered version of Christianity puts more emphasis on the finished work of Jesus of saving sinners, rather than an emphasis on moral performance.

Infertility, Losing Dreams, and Trusting God w/ Mike and Sarah

I had the privilege of getting to know friends Mike and Sarah better as we talked about lots of stuff, but the thing that made the biggest impact on me was when Sarah brought up her dreams of motherhood and 6 years of marriage with no children.  I think this made an impact on me because I, like many people, can relate to some extent of life not being “right”.  Sarah and Mike’s faith in the midst of that means something to me.  It encourages me in my own faith.  I feel like I’m not alone.
