I photographed my first wedding in St. Louis back in 1993. Not only did I survive, but I found that photographing that wedding was one of the most fulfilling things I had ever done. I became a wedding photographer.
That was a long time ago and a lot of things have changed since then. Photography has come a long way. I felt like I was on the cutting edge of the new trends in photography through most of the 90’s and 2000’s. Now, I feel a bit like a relic with all the newer photographers around. Should you choose me as your photographer? I don’t know. Here’s what I have to offer:
I’m discreet and sensitive to people and my surroundings when I work. I think you will be very comfortable with me on your wedding day. Can you picture a pushy photographer? I’m about 180 degrees in the opposite direction.
I concentrate mainly on photo journalistic photography on wedding days. If you want someone who sets up a lot of photos, stages things, I may not be for you. I like the things that take place in my photographs to be real.
Concerning travel, I’m willing to consider destination weddings, but I really love photographing St. Louis weddings. I’ve photographed wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions at many church buildings, most country clubs, banquet halls and other venues in St. Louis, all over the Greater Saint Louis Area, over on the east side in Illinois.
One other thing I’ve picked up from photographing weddings for 22 years is, I’m fast. When I comes to group pictures, portraits, or anything like that, everything happens smoothly and efficiently. Take a look at the style of my photographs. If it really appeals to you, let’s talk. Thank you!
